| Chefs Collaborative Visits ARC Greenhouses In June 2000 some three dozen chefs and other food professional chartered a bus to visit farms and growers in South Jersey to network and learn about local sources of good to eat food that they could acquire fresh picked. ARC was supplying some of the growers already that is reason they visited our greenhouses. They even stayed for lunch in a greenhouse we were constructing at the time. The lunch consisted of foods grown and prepared by other farmers they were visiting. It included salad made with our lettuces. We are glad to report we added several new restaurants to the list of Philadelphia restaurants we supply following the visit. At least three newspapers prepared reports on the visit. | |||||||||||
| Congressional Testimony Bruce Cobb was asked to testify about what Congress could do to help farmers by Frank LoBiondo, the congressman representing the district where we are located. The testimony took place on November 3, 1999 and covered several important issues from our view point. Based on actions since the testimony we believe our comments had some impact. Some farming newspapers picked up the story, including The New Jersey Farmer. LoBiondo's press release and the full testimony are included. | |||||||||||
| The New Jersey Farmer prepared a comprehensive article on our greenhouses and published it as part of their issue prepared for the 1998 New Jersey Vegetable Growers Conference. | |||||||||||
